Boston Area Research Initiative (BARI)
Data Consultant — Northeastern University & Harvard, May 2023–February 2025
Provided one-on-one consultations to community organizations and university partners on data acquisition and statistical analysis. Delivered training sessions on data literacy and map interpretation to bridge the digital divide for community partners. Maintained organizational data library through R script pipelines with Dataverse publication, updated interactive ArcGIS research maps, mentored students from high school to master’s level on data processing, and supported annual conference organization.
SICSS Istanbul
Co-Founder & Organizer — Summer Institute in Computational Social Science, 2019–2021
Co-founded and organized the Istanbul site of SICSS for three consecutive years after graduating from SICSS Helsinki 2018. Managed all operational aspects including application review, curriculum development, workshop facilitation, guest speaker coordination, post-mortem analysis, and alumni networking. Brought cutting-edge computational social science training to interdisciplinary cohorts of graduate students, postdocs, and early-career faculty in Turkey.
